Outboard Maintenance
Service, repairs, and repowers from a Mercury Repower Center and Minn Kota Authorized Service Center with master and certified mechanics

Mercury Outboard Service
As a Mercury Repower Center and a Minn Kota Authorized Service Center, our service department maintains, repairs, and repowers Mercury outboards, from portable kickers to high horsepower engines, and services Minn Kota trolling motors year round.
Routine maintenance keeps an outboard starting easily, running cool, and holding its value. We change oil and gear lube, replace spark plugs and fuel filters, inspect water pumps and thermostats, check anodes, and grease steering and tilt points. When something is wrong, we diagnose rough idle, hard starting, overheating alarms, loss of power, and trim problems. When an older engine is no longer worth repairing, we can repower your boat with a new Mercury outboard and rig it for your hull. Other dealerships often call on our mechanics for difficult diagnostic work, and later appointments are available by request.

Outboard Maintenance FAQ
Most Mercury outboards call for routine service every 100 hours or once a year, whichever comes first, with larger items like the water pump impeller every 300 hours or three years. Your owner manual lists the exact intervals for your model.
Hard starting, rough idle, a weak or missing telltale water stream, overheating alarms, loss of power, unusual vibration, and milky gear lube all point to a problem. Bring it in before a small issue turns into a bigger repair.
